Dear Supporter,

Our campaign is moving full speed ahead! It has been an exciting time and I want to share some recent developments.

We just unveiled our newly-redesigned website. If you haven’t visited, please go to www.electkesten.com and check it out. There you can get updated news on the campaign, read more about my policy positions and learn about upcoming events.

You can sign up to volunteer which, if you have not done, please do so today. To mount a successful campaign against Terrence Murphy in November, we will need an army of volunteers.  I can’t do it without you.

Meanwhile, I have been traveling across the 40th District, meeting with elected officials, Democratic committees, civic leaders and Indivisible (and other activist) groups. These meetings have pointed out the need for positive change and issues specific to local communities.

We kicked off our series of Town Halls. The first was is in Sleepy Hollow to discuss healthcare (hosted by Indivisible Sleepy Hollow/Indivisible 10591), the second in Mahopac discussed taxes, and the third was in the Buchanan/Montrose area of Cortlandt to discuss jobs, the environment, and the closing of Indian Point (hosted by United People’s Assembly).  It was heartening to see voters come out to all three town halls with smart questions and an enthusiasm for change.  I am excited to say that the passion and determination that spurred last year’s blue wave is alive and well in the 40th.

And the campaign is just getting started! On Monday, February 26th, we are holding a Town Hall on Property Taxes and Infrastructure hosted by Indivisible Yorktown and on Wednesday, March 14th I will be speaking in New Castle at a Town Hall hosted by Up2Us. We will send out additional details as we get closer and we will be adding events on a regular basis. Please mark your calendars and visit the events section of the website for the most updated information.

The most rewarding part of the campaign has been meeting people I otherwise would never have gotten to know. Together we can win this election, change New York and build a state we can all be proud of.  Let’s keep it going!

Best,
