As a candidate for office, and as someone who has spent years in the political trenches, I don’t for one minute forget that our campaign is not about me. It’s about all of us having the representation that we deserve… uncompromised representation, focused solely on the needs of the people who live and work in the 40th District. I pledge to you that, if elected, you will always know where my loyalties lie.
To that the end, in addition to thanking all of the amazing volunteers who put their heart and soul into this effort, I want to take the opportunity to thank the (so far) 25 groups that have endorsed my campaign for NYS Senate, including most recently Indivisible Westchester, the Northern Westchester Democratic Coalition, and the Pawling Democratic Committee:
Beekman Democratic Committee
Briarcliff Ossining Indivisible
Carmel Democratic Committee
Coalition for a Better SD40
Cortlandt Democratic Committee
Harmony Huddle of Pawling
Indivisible Yorktown NY
Lewisboro Democratic Committee
Mt. Pleasant Democratic Committee
New Castle Democratic Committee
North Salem Democratic Committee
Northern Westchester Democratic Coalition
Patterson Democratic Committee
Pawling Democratic Committee
Peekskill Democratic City Committee
Pound Ridge Democratic Committee
Yorktown Democratic Committee
I am so grateful for this support. It means more to me than any email could fully express.
Looking ahead to the next couple of weeks on our Campaign Calendar, tonight I am holding my next Town Hall in Pawling: “A Democratic Senate & What It Means.” (See my related essay “Balance of Power in a Post-2016 World” from last week.) I hope you can make it.
I am also very excited to announce that on Saturday, May 19th there will be a concert in support my campaign, featuring Heather Mieko & Heather Villaescusa (a.k.a. “Heather Squared”) singing the music of Broadway. These two are the real deal (check them out here), and this will be a fantastic evening. Please join us and spread the word! Purchase tickets by clicking here.
Finally, petitioning starts June 5th. Even if you are not a Democratic district leader, you can help us with this very important process that both ensures we get on the ballot AND introduces voters to my campaign. If you haven’t yet signed up to volunteer, you can do that here.
Thank you all, so much, for the continued support. We have a lot of work ahead of us – but with you by my side, I know success is in reach.
